Wondering how we'll be playing this game? Check out the How To Play link in the upper right hand corner.
At it's core, all you need to know is this: Each week, before the start of the elimination show, you’ll rank each remaining contestant. |

Bonehead Question aka "My TV viewing life relies on TIVO exclusively where time is relative". What date does the game/voting start so I can view it that night? |

You need to have your ranking set before the elimination show. TV guide shows it airing Thursday Feb 25 at 7pm CST.

How are we ranking at this point? The show is separating the eliminations into male/female groups of 12. Not a running list of 24 as provided? |

The show is going to have the female group of 12 perform on Tuesday and the male group of 12 perform on Wednesday. After the Wednesday show (and before the Thursday elimination show), you should rank the contestants from the top/down with top being who you believe will most likely win AI and the last spot at the bottom with the singer most likely to go home. What makes this "easy" at last for the next few weeks (until they get to the top 12) is that they will be sending home 4 contestants on the THURSDAY show. That's two female and two male. So you will have a higher chance of selecting some to be eliminated. SUMMARY: The point is, just rank from best to worst after you watch both nights of performances. |

Ok, Rudy, I guess I'm a little slow but how did I get the 107 points for the first wee? I get the part about picking someone to be sent home (and I did get ONE correct--Ashley), but how did I score the other points? |

Janell Wheeler was elinated and you had her ranked at 13. So you get 13 points. That's done by using the week eleminated (1) times the ranking (13). Joe Munoz was elinated and you had him ranked at 12. So you get 12 points. Tyler Grady was elinated and you had him ranked at 6. So you get 6 points. Ashley Rodriguez was elinated and you had her ranked at 1 which also your designated elination spot. You get 25 for automatically being a bottom three. You get 50 for correctly predicting an elimination. You get 1 point for the ranking position (just like you got points for the others that were also elimnated). This totals 76. 13 + 12 + 6 + 25 + 50 + 1 = 107 Make sense? |

It seems odd to me that I would get points for those who were eliminated this week but weren't in my bottom 4. I could see getting the points for previous weeks (if there were previous weeks), but I would think that since none of the people in my bottom four were eliminated, I should have the lowest possible points for this week. |

It may seem odd but it's not wrong either. You simply get points for the ranked position. And you don't really want to rank contestants you believe are going home too high either to get these points. You want to rank from best to worst to maximize your points later in the game. Those who have high points this week and have this despite any bonus points will eventually fall behind as the season moves forward. |
