Answer: It's week one and the team that ranked Mr. Mo Jo Risen as #24 earned 24 points because the contestant was eliminated. While most other teams had him ranked at 5 or so. So one thinks, hey... I missed out on getting higher points. But that's not the way to play. You want to ensure that you rank the contestant you believe will win the show ranked highest. That means when it's week 14 or so and that contestant is eventually eliminated, you will get 14 * 24 for having that contest ranked so high. In the long run, you will surpass the team that got the early points by mis-ranking the contestants. Play it out and you'll see. The "Strategy" section in the The how to play page mentions this as well. http://www.fantasypop.com/aigame/how-to-play/ In regards to not getting bonus points for have someone in the 4th spot go home... the game is set to only award bonus for rankings 1, 2 and 3 regardless of how many go home. No big deal. It applies to everyone. I came close as well but didn't get the bonus points. My 4th and 5th ranked contestants went home but I didn't get a bonus. So close... :-/ |

Thanks for the response. As i hit "submit" the strategy was starting to sink in. And I think I like it. No matter the scoring system I will win my league and take the crown as the B Flat Champion. |

Now that single eliminations are beginning next week (still with a bottom three), I wonder if it would be better to keep... say... your 4th highest ranked singer right there in that 4spot, EVEN IF HE/SHE HAS A BAD NIGHT AND YOU THINK HE/SHE WILL BE IN THE BOTTOM 3, but not voted out? I see some strategy here... Do you risk a week of a high slot number, drop that person from 4 into your bottom 3 (just to get the bonus points) or do you keep that person in the 4spot? Hmmmm :) |

Well... If they're that low on your rankings and you think they're going home, don't pass up on the chance to get bonus points. At least that's what I'm doing... then again. I'm not winning. :-P |
